KDLC Statement on International Day of Persons with Disabilities

December 3, 2025

December 3rd marks the International Day of Persons with Disabilities, a United Nations observance since 1992.

This day is dedicated to promoting understanding of disability issues and raising awareness of the importance of fully including persons with disabilities in every aspect of our communities.

Here in Kingston and the surrounding region, we recognize the ongoing work of local unions, community agencies, and advocates who strive to remove barriers and create accessible, inclusive spaces.

The Kingston District Labour Council remains committed to supporting initiatives that advance equity, ensure workplace accessibility, and uphold the dignity, rights, and well-being of persons with disabilities.
