KDLC is Moving to a Facebook Page for Public Updates

September 25, 2025

The Kingston District Labour Council (KDLC) is committed to improving how we connect with our community, union members, and the broader public. As part of this effort, we are transitioning from our current Facebook group to a new Facebook page as our primary public-facing platform.

You can now follow us here: Kingston & District Labour Council

Why the Change?

While Facebook groups are great for member-to-member discussions and private conversations, a Facebook page offers better tools for public engagement, visibility, and outreach. It allows us to:

      •     Share updates more broadly with the public

      •     Reach new audiences beyond our existing membership

      •     Promote KDLC and affiliate events & campaigns with greater visibility

      •     Maintain a more official presence that reflects the voice of the KDLC

We encourage all KDLC members, affiliates, and supporters to like and follow our new Facebook page to stay up to date on labour news, upcoming events, and local campaigns.

Thank you for your continued support and solidarity.

In solidarity,

Kingston District Labour Council
