National Day of Mourning in Kingston

April 28, 2026 at
10:45 AM - 11:15 AM EST
McBurney Park (Skeleton Park) 30 Alma Street Kingston, Ontario K7K 1J6

Please join the Kingston & District Labour Council, local community leaders, and labour partners at McBurney (Skeleton) Park as we honour workers who have been killed, injured, or made ill because of workplace hazards. All are welcome to attend as we stand in solidarity, remember the fallen, and recommit to making every workplace safer.

This year, advocates are calling for full recognition of psychological health and safety as occupational health and safety. Nearly half of Canadians report that work is the most stressful part of their day, and psychological injury remains the leading cause of disability claims.

11:00am – Minute of Silence

11:01am – Laying of Carnations
